Revized 4AD Remasters, hypothetically

I was wondering what a “conventional” 4AD remaster reissue might look like. What I came up with was a clear outer sleeve with the logo and word “REMASTERED” on the front, and then the barcode and fine print on the back. Each would be a lavish two-disc digipak set–with loads of rare bonus tracks, of course–with newly revized v23 artwork, too, metallic inks and all.
One can dream.

did you imagine a full-scale outer sleeve for these (plastic wrapped around the entire package), or just something covering the spine (like on the goldish DCD SACD-releases)…?

Yes, full-scale outer plastic sleeve. The left side would be slightly translucent just to hold the info. In hindsight, a paper “obi” like the Japanese CDs (and, yes, the DCD SACD reissues) is probably a better idea. I didn’t do that originally because I tend not to throw out those little bits, and they’re cumbersome to keep unless you have one of those nice mylar CD bags covering the entire thing.
